Me is YOU

by Moreno Zani

Me is You.

The relationship, the rapport between one and the other. Something that perhaps we have lost in time. Our daily lives, the world spinning fast, the “duty” of being successful and getting to the top made us forget about our human nature which is rooted and lives mainly through a relationship with others.

Me is YOU goes back to find this natural relationship between one person and others, in this case an artwork. No longer something that has been organized, conventional or due; rather, a casual and unexpected encounter at a crossroads. An encounter where both you and the artwork exchange glimpses. Also at that very moment, in the middle of a road, an exclusive relationship can develop, with no in-betweens.

Public and yet private, with many people around and yet alone with the artwork, with otherness. Back to the origins. A glimpse, a thought, almost like two hands gently rubbing each other, testifying the sense of belonging. Overlapping without one taking over the other, with no ownership. Only accepting the other’s identity that becomes ours.

"Capture the moment: make your life extraordinary!”, sounded a famous quotation which now becomes almost mandatory. Make your life extraordinary means find now the simplicity of “I” finding “You” again, indeed I becomes You and viceversa.

The extraordinary nature of the relationship we were born from, grew up with and made us love our lives.

Here’s my vision of this adventure in the heart of Milan and London.
