Un altro Ferragosto
On an August evening in 1996, at the Ventotene house where journalist Sandro Molino spent his vacations, his partner Cecilia unveiled her pregnancy news. Fast forward to today, and Altiero Molino, now a thriving digital entrepreneur at twenty-six, revisits Ventotene with his husband, a renowned male model, to reunite old comrades and offer his ailing father one final sojourn in their cherished retreat. Little did he anticipate the island's feverish atmosphere surrounding Sabry Mazzalupi's nuptials to her beloved Cesare: once the awkward daughter of Roman shopkeeper Ruggero, Sabry has ascended to internet stardom, her wedding now a global affair drawing media frenzy and clandestine emissaries from the corridors of power. As two distinct camps of vacationers converge, emblematic of two seemingly irreconcilable facets of Italian society, their inevitable collision on Ferragosto promises a showdown of definitive proportions.
